Caprese Salad

Ingredients
- 3 vine-ripe tomatoes
- 1 lb Fresh mozzarella
- 1 cup basil leaves
- Olive oil, salt, and pepper
Directions
- Cut the mozzarella into thin layers (about ¼ inch thick).
- Cut the tomatoes into thin layers (about ¼ inch thick).
- Place in a plate and dispose into alternate layers of mozzarella, tomato, and basil leaf.
- Drizzle with extra-virgin olive oil and season with salt and pepper.
Note
You can also stick alternate pieces of cherry tomato, fresh mozzarella, and basil leaves on a skewer. This will make a delicious appetizer!
