Tomato Basil Pizza

Ingredients
- 1 pizza dough
- 1 cup grated mozzarella
- 2 vine-ripe tomatoes
- 1 cup basil leaves
- 1 clove garlic
- Olive oil, salt and pepper
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450°F.
- Roll out the pizza dough on a baking sheet.
- Cut the tomatoes into thin layers (about ¼ inch thick).
- Dispose the tomato slices evenly on the pizza dough.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella over the tomatoes.
- Add the basil leaves.
- Drizzle the olive oil.
- Minced the garlic and sprinkle over the tomatoes.
- Season with salt and pepper, to taste.
- Bake 15 minutes or until the pizza dough is brown and crispy and the cheese is melted.
Note
You can add a layer of tomato sauce or pesto sauce to add some more flavor to your pizza.
Did You Know?
If you are using a premade refrigerated dough, let it rest for 10-15 minutes before using it. This will avoid the dough to shrink back and it will be easier to work with.
